Redmi K60 series : 

The Redmi K60 series has been officially launched in China. The lineup includes the Redmi K60, Redmi K60 Pro, and Redmi K60E and will succeed the Redmi K50 from earlier. The Redmi K60 series for the first time brings support for wireless charging and a curved OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The phones come with a centre-positioned punch-hole cutout for the selfie snapper, and a rectangular module to house triple camera sensors, which also includes a telephoto lens (on the K60 and K60 Pro). The Redmi K60 and Redmi K60 Pro have a carbon fibre finish towards the edges.

The Redmi K60 and Redmi K60 Pro come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8-series chipsets, 67W fast charging support, Android 13 OS, an AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, and a 16MP selfie shooter. The Redmi K60 series comes with Xiaomi surging P1 charging chip. 

Redmi K60 and K60 Pro sport a 6.67-inch QHD+ AMOLED display with 3200 X 1440 pixels resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, 480Hz touch sampling rate, up to 1400nits peak brightness, 12bit P3-colour gamut, Dolby Vision, 1920Hz PWM dimming, punch-hole cutout, HDR10+ and JNCD protection layer. 

The vanilla Redmi K60 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen1 SoC paired with Adreno GPU. While the Redmi K60 Pro will ship with the Snapdragon 8 Gen2 chipset with up to 16GB LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB UFS 4.0 storage. Android 13-based MIUI 14 custom skin takes care of the software side of things.

The Redmi K60 packs a 5,500mAh battery with 67W fast charging and 30W wireless charging support. However, the Pro version has a 5,000mAh battery capacity with 120W fast charging speed and 30W wireless charging.

There is an in-screen fingerprint sensor for security, dual speakers, NFC, and an infrared sensor. Connectivity options could include 5G, 4G, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and a USB Type-C port for charging. 

As for the cameras, the Redmi K60 features a triple camera setup on the back, including a 64MP primary camera with OIS, a 6P lens and f/1.79 aperture, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2MP macro sensor. There is a 16MP snapper on the front for selfies and video chats.

The Redmi K60 Pro features triple cameras on the back, including a 50MP/54MP Sony IMX800 primary sensor with OIS, 6P Lens, f/1.88 aperture and LED flash, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens with 118-degree FoV, and a 2MP macro shooter. There is a 16MP shooter on the front for selfies and video chats.

The Redmi K60E sports a 6.7-inch 2K AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, 1920Hz PWM dimming, punch-hole cutout, HDR10+ and Gorilla Glass Victus layer. Powering the phone is the MediaTek Dimensity 8200 SoC coupled with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage that is further expandable via a microSD card. The phone runs on Android 13-based MIUI 14 custom skin out of the box.

There is a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security, dual speakers, NFC, and an infrared sensor. Connectivity options could include 5G, 4G, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and a USB Type-C port for charging. The phone packs a 5500mAh battery with 67W fast charging support.

As for the cameras, the Redmi K60 features a triple camera setup on the back, including a 48MP primary Sony IMX582 camera with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2MP macro sensor. There is a 16MP snapper on the front for selfies and video chats. 

Iqoo 7 Neo : 

iQOO has launched a new performance-focused smartphone in China. The company has introduced the iQOO Neo 7 Racing Edition as the company’s latest premium offering. The device is the third smartphone in the lineup. Prior to the Neo 7 Racing Edition, the company launched the Neo 7 and Neo 7 SE 5G in its home country. The ultimate selling point of the Neo 7 Racing Edition is its performance unit. 

The Neo 7 Racing Edition features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. The 4nm SoC is second to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC in terms of performance. Although a few months old, the SoC is far more powerful for most use cases. In comparison, the iQOO Neo 7 has a Dimensity 9000+ SoC, whereas the Neo 7 SE has a Dimensity 8200 SoC. 

The iQOO Neo 7 Racing Edition has been launched with multiple storage options. The top model offers 16GB RAM and 512GB storage. It has been launched for CNY 3599 (roughly Rs 42,800). The device is also available with 16GB + 256GB and 12GB + 256GB storage options, which are priced at CNY 3299 (roughly Rs 39,200) and CNY 2999 (roughly Rs 35,700). The base model has 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. It is priced at CNY 2799 (roughly Rs 33,300). The phone is available in Blue, Black and Monster Orange colours.

In terms of hardware, the Neo 7 Racing Edition packs a 5000mAh battery. The phone supports 120W fast charging out of the box. The charger is packed inside the box. There is no support for wireless charging, in case you were wondering.

On the back, the phone has a triple-camera setup inside a rectangular camera module. There is a 50MP primary camera sensor, accompanied by an 8MP ultrawide camera and a 2MP macro camera sensor. The phone’s primary camera supports optical image stabilisation (OIS). For selfies, there is a 16MP front camera sensor.

The Neo 7 Racing Edition has a 6.78-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 20:9 aspect ratio and a hole-punch cutout at the top centre. The screen supports HD10+ and a 120Hz refresh rate. The Neo 7 Racing Edition’s display is flat and has fairly thin bezels around it.

As mentioned above, there is a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC under the hood. It is paired with an Adreno 730 GPU, LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. The device is 8.5mm thick and weighs about 197 grams. Lastly, the phone runs Android 13-based Origin OS Forest in China. 

There is no word on whether the phone is launching in India. iQOO might launch the phone as a successor to the iQOO 9 SE, which was launched earlier this year. There is no official word from the company at the moment. Therefore, we advise taking the leaked details with a pinch of salt.
