Ola Electric to enter electric car segment; to launch first model by 2024
Ola's first electric car will have the capability to accelerate from 0-100 kmph in four seconds and will have a range of more than 500 kilometers per charge, says CEO Bhavish Aggarwal.A prototype of Ola EV Ola Electric on Monday said it will foray into the electric car segment with plans to launch its first model by 2024.
The company, which struggled with deliveries for its electric scooters after it announced entry into the segment exactly a year ago, has set an ambitious target of selling 10 lakh electric cars by 2026-2027.
In a press conference, Ola founder and CEO Bhavish Aggarwal said Ola Electric aims to provide a range of electric two-wheelers to electric cars which are priced in the range of Rs 1 lakh to Rs 50 lakh.Ola's first electric car will have the capability to accelerate from 0-100 kmph in four seconds and will have a range of more than 500 kilometers per charge, he claimed.
On the rationale behind the plan to launch a premium electric car first, he said, "Global automakers think that the Indian market is not ready for world class technology and hence sell their hand-me-down tech in India. Now we need to change this. We deserve a car that defines this new India, an India that is fearless and believes in writing its own destiny."
Vivo V25 pro :
Vivo has launched a new smartphone in its V series – the Vivo V25 Pro – in India. The smartphone comes with colour changing AG glass, which was first seen in last year’s Vivo V23 Pro. Furthermore, the Vivo V25 Pro comes with a curved 3D class, 32MP selfie camera and many other features.
The Vivo V25 Pro comes in two storage variants – 8GB+128GB and 12GB+256GB priced at Rs 35,999 and Rs 39,999 respectively. The smartphone is up for pre-booking with sales scheduled to begin from August 25 through Flipkart, vivo.com and retail stores across the country.
The Vivo V25 Pro features a 6.56-inch FHD+ 3D curved AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and 300Hz touch sampling rate. Further, the panel supports HDR10+ playback.
The V25 Pro is powered by Dimensity 1300 SoC paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage. The smartphone also offers up to 8GB of virtual RAM. It boasts a 4830mAh battery with 66W fast charging support. The smartphone runs FunTouch OS 12 on top of Android 12.Vivo V25 Pro comes with a triple camera setup consisting of a 64MP rear camera with OIS, 8MP ultra-wide camera and a 2MP macro camera. The smartphone has a 32MP camera on the front with eye AF selfie.
Realme 9i :
Realme has launched its latest mid-range offering – the 9i 5G. The main highlight of the phone is its back panel, which the company says has a ‘Laser Light design’. That said, let us take a quick look at Realme 9i .
The Realme 9i 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 810 chipset based on TSMC’s 6nm process and is paired with the Arm Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. The company claims that the chipset is around 20% faster when compared to Dimensity 700. It features a 6.6-inch IPS LCD FullHD+ display that offers a 90Hz refresh rate. The phone comes with Realme UI 3.0 based on Android 12 out of the box, The phone is available in two variants and offers up to 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage.
Realme 9i 5G has a triple camera setup that comes with a 50MP primary sensor while the front camera features an 8MP sensor housed in a teardrop notch. All of this is backed by a 5,000mAh battery that supports 18W charging.The fingerprint sensor is integrated with the power button on the right side of the phone while the volume buttons can be found on the left side. On the bottom of the phone, you can find a single speaker, a 3.5mm audio jack and a USB Type-C port. Realme 9i 5G weighs 187 grams and is 8.1mm thick. It is available in two colours – Metallic Gold and Rocking Black.
The base variant of the phone offers 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage and is priced at Rs 14,999 with the 6GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage version costing Rs 16,999, according to the Realme launch event.
Samsung Fold prices :
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 is available in Beige, Greygreen, and Phantom Black colours. The smartphone is available in a 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant priced at Rs. 1,54,999 and a 12GB RAM and 512GB storage variant priced at Rs. 1,64,999. There will also be a 12GB RAM and 1TB storage variant that will be exclusive on Samsung Live and Samsung Exclusive Stores at Rs. 1,84,999. As for the Galaxy Z Flip 4, it is available in Bora Purple, Graphite and Pink Gold colours. The smartphone is available in an 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant priced at Rs. 89,999 and an 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant priced at Rs. 94,999. The customisable Bespoke Edition of the Galaxy Z Flip 4 that is offered glass colours and frame options will be available on Samsung Live and Samsung Exclusive Stores for Rs. 97,999.
